I would like to introduce you to Grizz, he is this week’s, “Dog of the Week”. Grizz is a Chocolate Lab and Chesapeake Retriever mix and is approximately six years old. Weighing in at about 100 pounds, he is a gentle, loving giant who would love to find a family to call his own. He is housebroken, gets along well with other dogs and loves to go on car rides.
Grizz was a stray in Tuscola County when Last Day Dog Rescue stepped in. Due to lack of fosters, Grizz is currently boarded in one of the kennels that works with the rescue. His story tugs at my heart strings a little harder because he is a special case. Grizz is a bit of an older guy and has Cushing’s Syndrome, a common autoimmune disease. Don’t let that scare you off. It’s treatable by simply administering one pill per day.
This soft-hearted fellow is longing for a loving home where he can lay his head. Could yours be the one? If you would like to learn more about Grizz, please click here.
If you would like to help in other ways, there are many opportunities for you to volunteer or even to become a foster. Please visit Last Day Dog Rescue’s site for more information.
